Dear Customers,
No topical chat this week. The list of new books and a few house-keeping notes, make this letter long enough.
There has been a flurry of activity from publishers and there are many new titles available. And there are more to come – every time we place an order, we find that new publications miss the boat and have to wait for the next order.
Posted books: We have sent out a record number of parcels so far this year. We have never had a problem with the S.A. postal service, but it seems that their tracking system, at times, is up to paw-paw. Some parcels reflect well, and others seem to be ‘stuck’ in the system (I collected a parcel from our local post office that was still in Krugersdorp according to the tracking system!). Anything posted takes 4-5 working days. If you parcel shows on SAPO tracking as stuck at a certain postal hub, please use the tracking number to ask for the parcel at your post office.
Proof of payments: If you are waiting for a book to be sent and have paid by EFT of direct deposit, please send us proof of payment. We only doing the allocation of payments from bank statement to customer accounts once a week, so it may be a while before we see your payment if you do not send proof of payment.
Phone: At Good Neighbours we have been battling to set our phone message. If you call and we are busy on another call, instead of getting the engaged signal, you get our ‘office hours’ message. If this happens to you, please just try calling again after a little while (or drop me an email).
