Dear Customers,
After dropping off a batch of parcels at the post office today, I was told that there was no certainty of the usual delivery speed as the workers were on a go-slow – no increase in 3 years! I recommend that you opt for courier delivery if you need your books in a hurry.
Incidentally, I attended a morning market at a pre-school last weekend, taking all our cheap and cheerful children’s books. I sold not a single one! It distresses me that people are not the least bit interested in giving their children any books that have to with Christianity, though it isn’t really surprising. They bought food and toys for their children, but couldn’t care to give them anything to do with the life-giving Word. Our books were cheaper than anything else on offer, but that didn’t have any effect. It was a stark reminder of the world’s complete rejection of Christ.
Stock-take closure: Please remember that Augustine Bookroom will be closed on 23rd June for stock-take and Good Neighbours will be closed the following Monday and Tuesday, 25th & 26th June.
