Dear Customers, I have just returned from a relaxing week in the bush, so writing is not going to happen at any length – my brain is still there! What a blessing to take the time to enjoy God’s creation. Every one gets hyped about the Big Five, but we are quite to content to enjoy any five. Our highlight was having a bushbaby and a fruit bat come to visit, taking the fruit we had put out for the birds. When we filled up with petrol on the way home, the attendant asked where we had been. When my husband, Phil, replied that we had stayed in Marloth Park, he said:” Oh, so you went to the Spa.” “No,” Phil replied, “we didn’t go to any spa.” “But, if you sit and listen to the birds, it’s like a head massage.” And so it was. I’ll remember that next time I sit and listenb to the birds in my garden. Of course, the beauty of the “spa’ is that there was no traffic noise in the background. For the language enthusiasts: We have received a large amount of stock from the German Bible Society, consisting of a variety of Hebrew and Greek Bibles. There’s no point including any pictures of theses – they are all plain blue or black hardcovers. These vary in cost from R560 to more than R1000. We also have the Biblia Hebraica, the Septuagint and the Greek NT on DVD (R400 each). We have brought in one copy of the Tubinger Bible Atlas. It stands 45 cm high and has fold-out pages – R1045. If anyone is interested in any of these, please drop me a line and I will supply a complete list of GBS titles.
