Dear Customers
The first shipments resulting from my overseas trip have landed – 70 boxes in which there are more than 140 new titles! The majority of these are children’s books as I decided that the children’s section needed some refreshing. At Good Neighbours we have had to put in an extra table and clear a set of shelves to display all the new books. We have only just managed to get all the books across to Augustine, so they are still busy unpacking there. Three on the new titles are beautiful hardcover copies of Pilgrim’s Progress, Pilgrim’s Progress 2 (Christiana’s Story) and Holy War. These are suitable read-alouds for children aged 6-11 and suitable for children of 12-14 years to read for themselves. They are R130 each (236mm x 197mm; 192, 176 and 256 pages respectively). We also have a paperback version of The Pilgrim’s Progress for 8-12 year-olds, adapted by jean Watson. 144 pages; R65. Another beautiful hardcover pair are Patricia St. Johns’ A Home for Virginia and The Safe Place. Read aloud to children age 3-5 or for children of 6-7 to read for themselves. 210mm x 210mm; 24 pages; illustrated; R90 each. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. See below for a few more. New books for adults will be featured in the next letter. You’ll have to visit us to see the full range. Kettle’s always on… Year end closure: A reminder that we close at 1pm on 24th Dec and re-open on Monday, 4th Jan. This is applicable to both shops. Yours in the Lord’s service Kathy |
